Kampala – Ugandan singer Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, has been arrested in connection with the death of fellow musician Wilfred Namuwaya, alias Top Dancer. The arrest follows nearly a week of evasion, during which police mounted a manhunt after the incident sparked public outrage.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango, Alien Skin was apprehended on October 1, 2025, and is currently detained at Katwe Police Station, where he is recording his statement. Authorities allege that the controversial singer played a key role in orchestrating a violent attack on Namuwaya after he left their music group, Fangone Forest.
Investigations reveal that on September 20, 2025, Namuwaya was forcibly removed from his residence in Ndeeba by an associate of Fangone Forest identified as Musomali. Police claim Musomali was acting on direct instructions from Alien Skin.
The victim was reportedly targeted as punishment for quitting the group without permission. He was later discovered in critical condition in Mpomba Zone and rushed to Mulago Hospital by a Good Samaritan.

Unfortunately, Namuwaya succumbed to his injuries on September 22, 2025. “The suspects, including Alien Skin, orchestrated a violent attack on the victim. This is a serious matter, and we are determined to bring all involved to justice,” SSP Onyango stated.
This is not the first time Alien Skin has found himself on the wrong side of the law. In December 2024, he was remanded to Luzira Prison over robbery-related charges.
A viral video at the time showed members of his entourage assaulting security and medical personnel at Nsambya Hospital. He was further accused of stealing an iPhone 15 Pro, Shs480,000, and a wallet containing a national ID.

Alien Skin denied the allegations, but the case reinforced his reputation as one of the country’s most controversial entertainers. Fellow musician Pius Mayanja, known as Pallaso, previously defended Alien Skin, urging the public to understand the challenges faced by youth in Kampala’s urban music culture. However, the gravity of the current allegations has reignited debates about violence, accountability, and safety in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
The arrest raises serious questions about the influence of music groups like Fangone Forest and their impact on Uganda’s youth. Analysts and fans alike argue that beyond the glamour of celebrity life, unchecked indiscipline and violent behavior are tarnishing the image of the industry.
Alien Skin now faces possible murder and conspiracy charges, and police have vowed to prosecute all those involved in the attack. The case continues to unfold, and the spotlight remains firmly on one of Uganda’s most polarizing music figures.
