Euro 2024 Referee Squad Unveiled: Italian Officials Join Elite Roster

In anticipation of the Euro 2024 tournament in Germany, UEFA has revealed its prestigious 19-man list of referees, featuring a notable presence of Italian representatives set to make their mark on the European stage.

With Luciano Spalletti’s Azzurri poised for a comeback following their World Cup setback, Italy’s football faithful eagerly anticipate a strong showing at the Euros after missing out on the 2022 edition in Qatar. As defending champions from their triumphant campaign in 2021, Italy aims to uphold their legacy and embark on a new era under evolving squad dynamics.

Among the distinguished referees selected for Euro 2024, UEFA has enlisted two Italian arbiters – Marco Guida and Daniele Orsato – to officiate matches alongside an international cohort. Adding a touch of global flair, Argentine referee Facundo Tello and his assistants bring a unique perspective to the officiating team, representing a testament to football’s universal appeal.

Noteworthy additions to the roster include English duo Anthony Taylor and Michael Oliver, French official Clement Turpin, Dutch referee Danny Makkelie, and Spanish arbiter Jesus Gil Manzano, highlighting the diverse talent pool contributing to the tournament’s officiating excellence.
