Breaking News: Tragic Accident Claims Lives of 6 Students from Buganda Royal Institute on Garuga Road

Musinde, Katabi Town Council—April 13, 2024—A devastating road accident occurred earlier today on Garuga Road, claiming the lives of six students from Buganda Royal Institute. The students were reportedly en route to a beach party when their vehicle collided with an oncoming truck.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident took place near Musinde, and emergency services rushed to the scene immediately after the crash. Sadly, four students died instantly from the impact, while two others were transported to Kisubi Hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, as officials work to determine whether road conditions, mechanical issues, or driver error played a role in the tragic event. The names of the students have not yet been released pending notification of their families.

The Buganda Royal Institute community is mourning the loss of their fellow students, and the town of Katabi is in shock following the news. Counseling services have been made available for the affected students, faculty, and families.

“Our hearts go out to the families and friends of the students involved in this tragic accident,” said a spokesperson from Buganda Royal Institute. “We are deeply saddened by this loss and offer our condolences and support to everyone affected.”
